Hallaton Wins National Waste & Recycling Association 2018 MD Chapter Golf Tournament
If you see a Hallaton crew at a golf course, it might be because we’re installing liner for their ornamental pond. But when it comes time for the NWRA annual golf tournament, we’re out there hitting the irons—and trying to avoid those ponds.

In 2012, Loyola University Maryland clinched the NCAA Division I Men’s Lacrosse National Championship. The triumphant team brought the winning medal back to their home field—Ridley Athletic Complex in Baltimore. Hallaton Installs Liner System at Maryland Landfill
Throughout our past 25 years of business, we have enjoyed working at this Maryland landfill on several occasions.
This publicly-owned municipal solid waste landfill, which accepts residential and commercial curbside trash, is the lone landfill in the area. The landfill is situated on 375 acres, of which 195 acres are utilized for solid waste placement. Subcells and phases are constructed over the course of time while the landfill is operational.

Environmental Show of the South provided an opportunity for high-quality training, since it is the largest and most comprehensive environmental conference and tradeshow in the region. Ballast System for Rain Covers and Temporary Caps
Hallaton Environmental Linings of Sparks, Maryland, offers a full line of landfill rain covers and temporary cap systems. Included as part of these rain covers and temporary caps is a ballast system. The ballast system protects the geosynthetics that are installed below the ballast system.
Extended Protection
The protections provided by the ballast system include extended UV protection and prevention of wind damage to the rain cover and temporary caps. The ballasting system products offered by Hallaton include Anchor Down, distributed by Elite Erosion Services, and Wind Defender. Each of these products is a reinforced geotextile windscreen made of knitted, green, UV stabilized HDPE filament. Continue reading
Community News Story: Hallaton Sponsors a Champion Tennessee High School Cheer Team
Hallaton Environmental Linings’ Central Office, located in Union City, Tennessee, was the proud sponsor of the Obion Central County High School Cheer Team from Troy, Tennessee.
The Cheer Team recently competed in the 2018 UCA National High School Cheerleading Championship that took place February 10–11th at The Walt Disney World Resorts in Orlando, Fl.
In addition to the State Championship they already have to their name, the team brought back two 2nd place finishes in the Junior Varsity COED Division in both the National and World Cheerleading Championships. They are the first cheer team from Obion County, Tennessee, to attend, compete, and place in the Worlds portion of this cheerleading competition. Continue reading

25 Years of Growth
In November of 1993, Todd Harman, Founder and President of Hallaton, formed his company to compete in the geosynthetics supply and installation business. Over the past 25 years, Hallaton has grown from a company of ten employees and one liner installation crew in 1993, into a company which currently has 125 employees, 9-10 geosynthetics installation crews, and two office locations. IAGI Awards Recognize the Best in Geosynthetics Installation
IAGI (International Association of Geosynthetic Installers) presented three Installation Awards at Geotechnical Frontiers 2017 in Orlando, FL. The awards recognize exceptional work by geosynthetic installers.
“The IAGI Installation Awards recognize those IAGI members who make significant contributions to the field of geosynthetics installation. So often the installer gets forgotten in the discussion of a project,” commented Laurie Honnigford, managing director of IAGI. “In reality a project is a set of plans on a piece of paper until the installer gets involved. Coal-ash Regulation Under Review
Environmental and public health groups filed a lawsuit April 5 to compel the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to complete its rulemaking on coal ash. A court order could hold the agency to a specific date for issuing a final rule on coal ash.

Todd Harman Elected IAGI Board President
Hallaton is proud to announce that Todd Harman was elected to the 2012–2013 International Association of Geosynthetic Installers (IAGI) Board of Directors. This position at IAGI allows Todd Harman to further provide a forum for geosynthetics installers to advance installation and construction techniques, and to strengthen the knowledge, image, and communication within the industry.
