Hallaton Wins National Waste & Recycling Association 2018 MD Chapter Golf Tournament

If you see a Hallaton crew at a golf course, it might be because we’re installing liner for their ornamental pond. But when it comes time for the NWRA annual golf tournament, we’re out there hitting the irons—and trying to avoid those ponds.

Golf Tournament Winners

For the first time, out of the many years that we’ve played in this event, Hallaton’s team won the tournament with a score of -14. Our winning team has the honor of displaying the event trophy at our office for the year.

Pewter Sponsor and Golf Chairman

Hallaton is a member of the National Waste & Recycling Association, and we were proud to be a Pewter Sponsor of the 2018 Maryland Chapter Golf Tournament. It was a great way for us to give back to our community. Proceeds from the tournament went to the Maryland Chapter’s legislative and advocacy efforts, educational programs, and the local community. Over the past 15 years, Hallaton has supported this event, and Bob Oler, our Director of Corporate Development, has served as the golf chairman.

Staying On Par with Industry Associates

This year’s golf tournament was held on September 20th at Greystone Golf Course in White Hall, Maryland. Greystone is a championship golf course that features five par 5 holes. We enjoyed the round of golf with our industry colleagues, including landfill operators/owners, engineers, suppliers, manufacturers, and waste collection managers. The weather was perfect, and everyone who attended had a great time.
